Summary:
Under the supervision of the City Community Development Director, coordinates administrative operations, serves as permit technician, and performs day-to-day administrative functions.
Essential Job Functions:

Manage day to day administrative functions of the office.
Respond to inquiries from callers and visitors providing information using initiative and independent judgment.
Assemble and provide technical information regarding department policies, procedures, and regulations.
Process and maintain departmental records:
permits, minutes, zoning ordinances, inspection records, ordinance enforcement files, planning commission and appeal board applications.
Process permit applications:
building, electrical, land use, mechanical and plumbing.
Serve as secretary to a number of boards and commissions:
Planning Commission, Construction Board of Appeals, and Zoning Board of Appeals.
Attend meetings, conduct administrative functions, and represent the department Director in his/her absence.
Performs related work as required.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Minimum
Qualifications:

Two years college education in business administration or related field, or equivalent work experience.
Considerable knowledge of municipal services, policies and procedures.
Considerable knowledge of applicable terminology, laws and regulations.
Considerable knowledge of modern office practices and procedures.
Thorough knowledge of MS Office/Office 360 and ability to quickly learn new applications.
Ability to communicate and work effectively with others.
Ability to prepare accurate records, reports, and legal documents.
Ability to plan, organize and perform administrative work independently.
Ability to perform mathematical computations quickly and accurately.
Initiative and resourcefulness in handling public contacts and complaints.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
