General Purpose:
Responsible for utilizing data and analysis to develop sales plans, sales process strategy, and evaluating and implementing improvements to sales programs and processes. Oversees the review and analysis of both internal and external data and trends to serve as an internal consultant that drives profitable sales growth.
Essential Functions: Using data and analysis, identifies areas for sales performance improvement and pro-actively coaches and assists in driving said improvement. Analyzes specific markets, trends, industries, economic data, etc. as they relate to the sales process, and creates management reports using actionable data. Analyzes sales and economic data to identify areas for sales performance improvement and planning. Proactively suggests solutions for improvement in a consultative manner using appropriate data and market knowledge. Predicts market trends based on relevant internal, external, and relevant published data. Assists with the development of accurate sales forecasting by building and utilizing processes supported with data. Collaboratively works with others throughout the sales organization to support the development of sales plans/quotas utilizing market data specific to the region, vertical market or area of focus. Proactively identify reporting needs of assigned sales region/organization, perform ad-hoc report builds. Reviews and assists in the refining of sales processes and sales structure. Understand the organizational structure, including the strategic business unit and objectives of the company in order to provide sound business insight for building sales operational excellence. Supports territory planning, design and optimization of sales resources. Assists in the development of sales onboarding programs in conjunction with Sales Readiness team Collaborates with cross-functional teams as required to improve overall sales excellence function. Performs additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, marketing or related field. Five to eight years of professional sales analysis experience, and a demonstrated excellent understanding of sales productivity drivers and financial and economic indicators. Significant experience managing data in multiple formats from various sources. Must be highly analytical and have a good understanding of both business and sales process strategies. Demonstrated self-starter who enjoys working on a wide variety of projects, be able to successfully interact with users from all levels of the company. Ability to be agile and adapt quickly to shifting priorities Demonstrated ability to lead, influence, solve problems, and work with all levels in the organization, including executive leadership Strong analytical, organization, time management and process management skills for success in a deadline-oriented environment. Demonstrated high level of written, verbal and interpersonal skills to communicate information, ideas, procedures and processes in a logical sequence; at a level appropriate to the audience and resulting in effective working relationships. Highly proficient in office productivity, sales administrations software, data modeling tools and other sales reporting tools used in the Herman Miller organization. Exhibits a high degree of accuracy & attention to detail in completed assignments. Previous experience and current knowledge of Financial Systems used at HMI. Must be able to perform all essential functions of the position with or without accommodations. Ability and willing to to travel up to 25% in a field consulting capacity working conducting MSA reviews, Regional Meetings and various other sales excellence activities. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
