QC Lab Analyst - Antigen

Primary responsibilities include performing analytical testing using established methodologies in support of finished good product, in process items and equipment swabbing. Utilize approved laboratory techniques and perform complex calculations to ensure accurate results are delivered in a timely manner. The qualified candidate will join the Antigen testing group. Position is responsible for coordinating the testing of materials to meet release schedule. The analyst is responsible for routine equipment maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting. Organizational skills of laboratory space are a must. Position will investigate and report issues in methodology as well as product discovered during testing. Position is responsible for communicating information to the organization to ensure business needs are met. Provide backup coverage to other laboratory groups. The position may require off shift work and weekend coverage to meet business needs.
Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or related degree required. The candidate should have experience with ELISA ( Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay ). Method development and method validation experience preferred. The ideal candidate should have good documentation skills and will be expected to tabulate and provide data interpretation to their team and to operations. The candidate must excel at working in a collaborative, highly fast paced environment. A minimum of one year quality control experience within the food manufacturing environment is required. Demonstrated working knowledge in the following areas also required: quality systems, GMP's, GLPs, and infant formula powder processing, packaging materials and associated manufacturing process, sampling plan development, wet chemistry, and chromatography. Strong computer skills (i.e. GLIMS, Optiva, SAP, Atlas, MS Office or equivalents). Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision. Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills.
