GENERIC DESCRIPTION
Managing a group of 7-9 (strong leadership), resolving customer issues, hands on manager role, and drive culture change.
Position Summary
Responsible for the effective performance of the quality function in the manufacturing center to meet or exceed customer expectations.
Primary Functions:
- Establishes, maintains and updates customers' quality requirements and specifications through active participation in projects, manufacturing control plan development, and working with company and Customer teams to address changes for improvements and communicates same to other plant personnel.
Develops and maintains close working relationships with customers to develop relationships which are based on integrity and trust, including substantial personal visits.
Leads overall cGMP, FDA and other applicable responsibilities to ensure procedures and auditing activities are followed per the defined activity.
Ensures that all quality procedures are maintained and that all personnel are fully trained on specifications, procedures and inspection equipment.
Ensures complete and accurate inspection and certification data are sent to the customer.
Communicates with customers about uncertain specifications or questionable products, obtains deviations, etc. and advises site staff.
Reviews latest part print revisions from Engineering Project Manager and inputs if revisions require any deviation from normal inspection, documentation, or measurement procedures.
Assures all non-conforming materials are isolated, and in conjunction with Material Review Board, determines proper disposition.
Maintains safe and healthful working conditions; enforces safety rules and regulations.
Performs routine audits for compliance to procedures, submits reports and action plans on audits.
Position Specifications
Prefer a degree, but flexible to non degreed. BS or equivalent experience or bachelor degree in a related field with appropriate experience.
CQM, Six Sigma, or CQE Certification a big plus.
Five years in quality management position with a demonstrated successful performance level.
Thorough understanding of QC tools such as SPC, DOE, sampling plans, audits, etc.
Experience dealing with customers and suppliers.
Mainly indoor office work with sedentary physical activities.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
