About this Opportunity
Herman Miller's Summer Internship Program is a paid, 12-week opportunity that provides a 100% real-world experience for students early in their career. Throughout the summer you will apply academic learning to real-world situations and cultivate leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
As a Data Analytics Graduate Intern, you will leverage state of the art machine learning, advanced analytics, and probabilistic modeling to build predictive models to drive significant business results.
What You'll Do

Analyze data for correlations or clustering.
Bring disparate data sets together.
Participate in experiment design.
Build and validate statistical models.
Perform analysis of variance.
Examine customer relations management and customer purchase data.
Work on a project basis with partners across Herman Miller such as Sales, Manufacturing, Human Resources, etc., to use predictive modeling to help them solve business problems.
Work with a cross-functional team to complete an intern project.
Attain on-the-job work experience aligned with your career objectives.
Perform additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.
Sound Like You?
You might be just who we're looking for if you are...
Experienced with statistical process packages and software such as SAS, R, and Python.
Graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Statistics with a focus on Business or Marketing.
Enrolled and pursuing a graduate degree in Industrial Math, Data Science, or a related field from an accredited college or university, and able to provide transcripts upon request. You must have a GPA of at least a 3.0 (cumulative or within your major) to qualify for consideration in the Intern Program.
Satisfactorily finished with the basic coursework in your chosen degree program.
In favorable academic standing within your current academic program.
Authorized to work in the United States.
Able to perform all essential job functions of the position with or without accommodations.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
