Soy Plant Relief Operator - 1pm to 9pm

Job Description

Receives and ships product according to customer orders and assists with Operators in the operation of the Soy Plant by performing the following duties:


1. Performs Soybean Receiving duties during off hours, times of absence of the receiver, or when the receiving area is busy

a. Assist in coordinating inbound soybean receiving activities and segregation of product.

b. Physically monitor receiving process to ensure parameters are met.

c. Take the necessary steps to correct operations when running outside of the desired parameters.

d. Maintain logs and records.

e. Run the dryer and maintain parameters and logs


2. Performs Soy Meal Loader duties during off hours or times of absence of the meal loader

a. Reads Bill of Lading to confirm proper product and amount to be loaded.

b. Weighs in empty trucks accurately and on a timely basis.

c. Loads proper product and amount per the Bill of Lading from overhead bins.

d. Weighs trucks out after loading and records all information accurately.


3. Performs Operators duties at times of absence and scheduling conflicts

a. Physically monitor process temperatures, pressures, material flows and levels to evaluate process operations.

b. Monitor process results and make the necessary physical adjustments to meet desired operating parameters

c. Take the necessary steps to correct operations when running outside of the desired parameters.

d. Maintain logs of instrument readings observed during hourly rounds.


4. Follow all procedures and policies to meet the requirements of CERT-ID EU non-GMO certification.

5. Lifts heavy objects by hand and cleans work area, machines, and equipment.

6. Makes simple adjustments or repairs.

7. Operates industrial truck/bobcat.

8. Notify plant manager/supervisor of operational or equipment problems.

9. Observe all plant and safety policies and procedures.

10. Performs other related tasks as may be assigned.


  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Basic computer skills, including experience with operating menu driven programs and a computer mouse.

  • Mechanical aptitude.

  • The employee must regularly lift, move, push, or pull up to 25 pounds, frequently lift, move, push, or pull up to 50 pounds, occasionally lift, move, push, or pull up to 100 pounds, and occasionally push or pull more than 100 pounds.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
